Super Hero Tournament of Champions: Superman vs. Thing

It’s tournament time! The greatest heroes of all-time battle each other in a drop down, drag out cage match. Who will win?

The three of us Sci-Fi guys each get one vote and the fans also get a vote (That equals 4 total votes)! THIS IS NOT WHO YOU WOULD WANT TO WIN, BUT WHO WOULD WIN. You can cast your vote and opinion and we might even give you a shout-out in one of our future posts!

This is a bracket tournament similar to March Madness. If your hero wins, they move on in the competition. If your hero loses, then they are out of the competition. However, if there is a tie, then both heroes advance and faceoff with a new hero in the next round. There are two brackets. One has the “god” like heroes (Like Superman & Thor), or the really strong guys (i.e. Thing & Hulk). The other bracket has the more regular guys who are aided by their skills, smarts, and technology (like Wolverine & Batman). The winner of these brackets will faceoff in the final bracket.

There are 24-28 first round battles.

SUPERMAN vs. THING

Dr. Jayce’s Opinion-

WHO WOULD WIN? Superman

WHY?: Because he’s stronger.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OUTCOME: I like Thing, but Superman is the obvious choice.

Ben’s Opinion-

WHO WOULD WIN? Superman (did you have any doubt I’d say this?)

WHY?: One punch from Supes and Thing’s gonna haffta change his name to Pebbles.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OUTCOME: I always loved seeing the Hulk/Thing throwdowns in my comics. Of course, the problem was always that Thing is a powerhouse, but not as much as Hulk. The fun was watching Aunt Pentunia’s nephew take his lumps. But as much as I love the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing, against Superman he’s just way outclassed.

Steve’s Opinion-

WHO WOULD WIN?: Superman

WHY?: The one power that Ben Grimm has is easily trumped by Superman, who has about a dozen more.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OUTCOME?: An unfair matchup.
