Really enjoyable review, guys!
I was interested, though, to hear you take some mild exception to the characterization of Ma Kent. I took my teenage daughter to see this with me, and Ma and Pa Kent were what she absolutely loved most about the whole movie. “They’re so sweet!” she said. And she specifically highlighted the moment where Ma is trying to call Clark and find out if he’s ok.
In fact, my daughter loved this movie, and especially the Kents in it, so much, she asked if we could go back the next week and take one of her best friends with us. And so we did.
I enjoyed the film immensely and think it is a huge step in the right direction for DC movies, and for Superman!
